GRACE ONLINE INSTITUTE PROGRAMS
We offer two workforce training programs that provide training in administrative, communication, and technical skills.
A 10-week online Administrative Professional Program that runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 12:30pm. The curriculum prepares you with the skills you need to gain an administrative office position in any field.
A 7-week online Patient Service Representative Program that runs Monday through Thursday from 1pm-3pm. This advanced class teaches the skills you will need to work as an administrative professional in the healthcare sector.
Administrative Professional Program
Grace Institute's Administrative Professional online training program consists of core professional skills like resume and cover letter writing, office administration, budgeting, professionalism, interview preparation, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM management, and teleconferencing.
All classes consist of daily live lectures, question and answer sessions, and participation in team-based breakout groups. Classes will require both individual assignments and group assignments to be completed on time as directed by the instructor. Daily attendance and participation are required in all classes in order to successfully complete the program.
This program is well suited for any potential Grace Institute participant who wants to be an administrative assistant, executive assistant, virtual assistant, call center representative, customer service representative, office manager, or data entry clerk. Daily attendance and completion of all assignments and assessments is required for graduation and serves as a prerequisite for accessing Grace Institute's Employment Services department.
Patient Service Representative Program
Grace Institute's Patient Service Representative training program consists of the core Patient Services Representative curriculum covering topics such as medical terminology, professional communication, scheduling, ethics and confidentiality, electronic medical record management, EPIC, resume writing, interview skills, and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
All classes consist of daily live lectures, question and answer sessions, and participation in team-based breakout groups. Classes will require both individual assignments and group assignments to be completed on time as directed by the instructor. Daily attendance and participation are required in all classes in order to successfully complete the program.
This program is well suited for any potential Grace Institute participant who would like to pursue a career inpatient services in a medical office, hospital, or care center. Daily attendance and completion of all assignments and assessments is required for graduation and serves as a prerequisite for accessing Grace Institute's Employment Services department.
PROGRAM TECH MUST-HAVES
In order to successfully participate and complete either program, the following are technological prerequisites:
- Active Email Address
- A functioning tablet, laptop, or desktop. Phones are not equipped for adequate online learning. (Information on obtaining a laptop is available)
- Reliable Wi-Fi (Information on obtaining access available)
- Sufficient storage on the device for downloading learning applications
- Ability to troubleshoot technical difficulties (e.g. video and sound issues, connectivity, devices not starting)
DEVELOP SKILLS YOU NEED FOR THE JOB YOU WANT
We align our curriculum with what our employers need to ensure what you learn prepares you to gain employment and keep it. We provide hands-on training in office technology, soft skills, and administrative support. Our employment services team will work with you for up to a year to help place you in a living wage, full-time position.
ONGOING PROFESSIONAL COACHING AND SUPPORT
Our staff of social workers and master’s level student interns will provide you with the tools you need to meet all of your personal and professional goals during the program and after the program.
