Converse with Confidence
To help our participants prepare for job interviews, we host virtual one-on-one mock interview events for each cohort. These mock interviews allow our current job seekers to prepare for the next step of their career journey. We are looking for professionals, especially hiring managers, to serve as interviewers.
Zoom links, interview questions, sample job descriptions, and feedback forms will be emailed to volunteers 3-4 days prior to the event. Each volunteer will interview 3-5 participants in 20-minute sessions.
Career Coaching Q&A
To help our alumnae continue their professional development, we host virtual career coaching Q & A sessions that are offered to all graduates of our programs. Alumnae are asked to bring their most pressing career questions or challenges to their session to discuss with a volunteer in a 1:1 or small group setting. Volunteers assist by offering anecdotal professional guidance during two 20-minute rounds.
Guest Speakers for Leadership & Management Class
This is a one-hour, one-time virtual volunteer event opportunity. A HR leader, hiring manager, or administrative professional (Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Finance Coordinator, Database Administrator, Healthcare Representative or Call Center Representative) join us to speak during our Leadership & Management class. Speakers with non-traditional background or a non-linear career path are especially impactful.
